my digital camera has come up saying card locked? i dont know why and i cant delete pictures or take them?

i cant get the sd card unlocked, i dont even know why its locked in the first place, my camera is a samsung p1000 if this helps, i went right round the menu and cant see anything to unlock it and i have my cousins christerning at 12 today

remove card from the camera …

look closly at the sides of teh card there should me a tinyswitch type thing push it either up or down depending on where it is at the time …..
